The Comic

The Dream Reaper is the story of 16-year-old Cadence 'Chex' Dawkings, who, while working late into the night on a paper, is visited by the Sandman, also known as Somnus. Unwilling to go to sleep, Cadence runs, inciting a chase through the surreal landscape of dreams, eventually ending when she awakens abrubtly.
All is well when Chex wakes up...until she starts seeing Somnus in the waking world. He claims he needs her help with something. Chex is nearly convinced she is going crazy, but nonetheless agrees to accompany him into The Dreamscape-- a chaotic and somewhat sinister dreamworld that is slowly unraveling from the inside out. And thus the tale of The Dream Reaper begins...

The Artist

The Dream Reaper is drawn and written by Kennedy Cooke-Garza, also known as Incendia. She is currently a sophomore in high school, hoping to someday become an illustrator or graphic novelist. The Dream Reaper was originally started as a time-wasting side project, and was mostly meant as a means of practice both in drawing comics and in maintaining a website.
The majority of the time you can find Kennedy staring unblinkingly into her computer screen wasting time on deviantART, working on her Comic Genesis site, or drawing more crap in Photoshop. You can contact her here.
